Alderman Dick Simpson discusses his book, "Strategies for Change: How to Make the American Political Dream Work," and his work as the 44th Ward Alderman. He explains the assembly system that now runs the 44th Ward, where members are able to bind him to a vote if the majority decides. He also discusses how the assembly has already changed redlining, the school system, truck load limits, and high rise development within their neighborhood.

Jennifer Davis, Bill Sutherland, and Zola Zembe discuss the South Africa and their experiences with apartheid. Jennifer Davis grew up in the white middle class society of Johannesburg, whereas Zola Zembe, a native black man who lives in Capetown. They, along with Bill Sutherland, an American who works as a Representative for the American Friends Service Committee, talk about the changes that need to made and how American people and companies can help. An earlier interview of Carl Douglas Fuchs is also played.

Sister Betty Campbell and Father Peter Hind discuss their missionary trips to Latin America. They talk about their time in Peru, Brazil, and El Salvador and working against difficult governments to help struggling people. They also recall some of violence they witnessed or heard about during the El Salvador Civil War, including the execution of four American missionary women.

Bill Cunningham, Jesuit priest and lawyer, discusses some court cases he has participated in. He talks about the Berrigan Brothers who protested against the Vietnam War. Cunnginham also talks about the Rice-Poindexter case, where two Black Panther Party members were charged for murder. He also discussed the Freedom of Information Act and the COINTELPRO the FBI's Counter Intelligence Program. Studs reads poetry from David Rice and plays a song by Hank Ferguson.
